Challenges and Commitment

As I work towards justice for Aunt Rosetta, I’m met with frustration and disappointment. Some family members privately support me, but lack the courage to speak out. Others remain traumatized, six decades later. Some prioritize reputation, social standing, and careers over seeking truth.

I understand confronting the past is difficult, but I believe sharing Aunt Rosetta’s story is essential for healing and justice.

Standing Firm

We all choose our alliances; be prepared to stand by them. I face resistance from those invested in respectability politics, unquestioning piety, and social status. They stand to benefit from justice and closure, but refuse to engage.

I’ve found support outside the family, from those who grasp the importance of this work. I’m grateful for that.

Unwavering Commitment

I’m dedicated to seeing this project through to the authorities. My commitment is to truth and justice for Aunt Rosetta.

It’s ironic that the 67th anniversary of her murder coincides with the potential election of the first Black female president. We’ve made progress, but media and law enforcement treatment of Black, Indigenous, and Women of Color remains largely unchanged.

This story’s alchemy lies in transforming loss into gain, pain into power, and tragedy into victory – if we dare to be brave and unite.

The Bigger Picture

This story transcends my words; I’m still uncovering information and filing FOIA requests. My theory needs more proof, but progress is swift.

I sought cooperation, goodwill, and support but recognize that may be unrealistic.

My Commitment Remains

I prioritize truth and justice over ego and image. I’m not bound to honor anyone’s ego; my focus is justice.
